The initiative enables professional and technical teams to tour the exhibition through pre-organized visits, allowing them to discover innovative technologies, identify suppliers and explore solutions to the operational challenges facing the mining, energy and industrial sectors.
More than 70 technical delegations representing over 30 mining, energy, industrial and major supplier companies are participating in EXPONOR 2026, further consolidating the exhibition as one of the world's leading platforms for technological exchange, business development and industrial collaboration across the entire mining and energy value chain.
Thanks to the proximity of the Antofagasta Region’s major mining operations, professionals from maintenance, projects, innovation, procurement, operations and technical purchasing departments have visited the exhibition to explore firsthand the technologies, services and solutions showcased by more than 1,380 exhibiting companies from 36 countries and the European Union.
The Technical Delegations Program allows participating companies to organize their visits in advance, identifying strategic exhibitors and optimizing their time at the exhibition according to specific objectives related to productivity, innovation, sustainability, operational safety and efficiency.
Andrea Moreno, General Manager of EXPONOR, emphasized the importance of the initiative: "The Technical Delegations Program is one of the initiatives that best reflects the value EXPONOR delivers to the industry. It enables professionals who face real operational challenges every day to explore the exhibition in a focused manner, discover cutting-edge technologies and engage directly with suppliers from around the world. Connecting operational needs with concrete solutions is a fundamental part of EXPONOR’s contribution to the development of the mining, energy and industrial sectors."
Representing participating companies, Sebastián Carmona, Vice President of Operations for Latin America at Albemarle, highlighted the exhibition’s impact: "EXPONOR has been an outstanding event that has allowed us to connect with technologies from different parts of the world and discover what both established companies and emerging innovators are developing. This year, between 30 and 50 Albemarle executives and professionals have toured the exhibition’s different pavilions to identify solutions and innovations that can add value to our operations."
Similarly, Pablo Carvallo, Operations Director of Glencore Chile, underscored the importance of the exhibition as a collaborative platform. "This is a meeting point that allows us to interact with suppliers, entrepreneurs and other industry companies. Here we can learn about technologies and experiences with potential applications not only in Chile but also across our international operations. We are very pleased to participate and to engage with the companies that are part of this exhibition."
For exhibitors, the presence of technical delegations represents a valuable opportunity to present their solutions directly to the professionals responsible for addressing operational challenges and making investment decisions within their organizations.
Alexi Molina, General Manager of AMR Pro, a company specializing in nanotechnology solutions for industrial asset protection, explained: "These delegations come looking for solutions to improve their processes, and that is precisely where our technology can contribute. We have received a large number of visitors, and there is genuine interest in technologies that increase equipment availability and reduce corrosion-related issues, which remains one of the industry's major operational challenges."
A similar perspective was shared by Enzo Altamore, General Manager of Trile Chile SpA, a distributor of industrial pumping solutions. "The participation of technical delegations is extremely valuable because it strengthens relationships between suppliers and operating companies. It allows us to present our solutions directly to professionals from different business areas, expand our presence within organizations and generate new collaboration opportunities. It has also provided an excellent opportunity to connect not only with clients, but also with other suppliers, universities and educational institutions, enriching the entire innovation ecosystem that EXPONOR fosters."
Through its Technical Delegations Program, EXPONOR 2026 continues to strengthen its role as a strategic platform connecting global technology providers with the evolving needs of the mining and energy industries, promoting knowledge transfer, industrial collaboration and stronger value-chain integration while supporting the development of increasingly efficient, innovative and sustainable operations.
