Next year's leading mining-energy exhibition has strengthened its global position by participating in various international events, promoting the advancements, investment and collaboration opportunities in the mining industry that will be found at EXPONOR 2026.
The event, organized by the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA), continues to establish itself as a strategic platform for showcasing Chilean mining globally. In recent months, representatives of EXPONOR have actively participated in major international events such Imarc (Australia) and the neighbouring Perumin (Perú).
EXPONOR’s presence at international fairs has made it possible to strengthen alliances with economic promotion entities, chambers of commerce and mining associations, strengthening commercial and technical ties."Our goal is to position the country as the global epicentre of mining and energy business. In our exhibition, Chile demonstrates its leadership in innovation, sustainability and technological development",said Andrea Moreno, the event's manager.
Relations with the embassy of Canada, the exhibition’s guest country of honour, were strengthened at these fairs. Its ambassador, Karolina Guay, commented "I am very grateful to EXPONOR 2026 for inviting us as the country of honour. We are very excited that several companies will be present, Canadian companies that will be able to promote innovative solutions for greener mining".
This demonstrates the collaboration between Canada and Chile, where the North American country stands out as the largest foreign investor in our country, with over 50% of its investment in mining. In addition, EXPONOR will participate in the PDAC 2026, where the last agreements for the 21st edition of EXPONOR will be finalised.
Australia is another of the commissions present among the countries participating in the exhibition. Andrew Martin, ambassador to Chile and Ecuador, who took office after the 2024 edition, expresses his enthusiasm about participating in the exhibition for the first time "I've heard about EXPONOR for many years in my diplomatic work. It's a very important exhibition, not only in Chile, but also worldwide. The Australian companies are very interested and enthusiastic about being part of EXPONOR 2026".
Central pillars of the mining-energy exhibition
On these occasions, the EXPONOR delegation has strengthened the event's commitment to technology, automation and environmental sustainability, fundamental pillars of the future of mining and energy. Furthermore, the 21st edition of the exhibition has been promoted as an opportunity to promote technology transfer and the connection between supplier companies, investors and leading global companies located in the global mining epicentre.
With these international efforts, EXPONOR seeks to attract a record participation of foreign companies in its next version, and expects 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries and 16 international pavilions for this 2026. In addition, this reaffirms the commitment of the Antofagasta Region to diversification, innovation and global mining leadership.
