- The world's most important mining-energy exhibition of 2026, EXPONOR, continues to position itself through its participation in foreign trade fairs and establishing relationships with global markets. This makes it possible to connect the region and the country to the world stage, promoting the exchange of knowledge, technologies and investments in the mining, energy and innovation sectors.
The participation of the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA) in the presidential tour to India last April allowed it to explore opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
At the same time, the work of EXPONOR representatives in different countries has contributed to opening new strategic opportunities. This is the case of its representative in China, a delegate who is currently on a prospecting tour, attending various technology fairs there to identify innovations with potential for application in the industry in Chile.
On another continent, EXPONOR recently had an important rapprochement with the European Union thanks to coordination with its countries, to ensure a strong presence of European technologies at the exhibition. Currently, 12 countries have reserved their participation: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Sweden.
Participation in trade fairs
After its previous edition, EXPONOR started its international promotion calendar geared towards 2026. One of the key instances was its participation in the PDAC in Canada, where that country was announced as the official guest. "Canada will be the guest country at EXPONOR 2026, so this is the best place to talk about our exhibition",said Aurora Williams, Minister of Mining.
EXPONOR has also been present at exhibitions such as Expomin (Chile), CIM (Canada) and Arminera (Argentina). For the remainder of the year, its presence at PERUMIN (Peru) and IMARC (Australia).
