EXPONOR already has a date for its 2026 edition

The international exhibition has begun preparations for its next event and announces the four days on which it will be held, during which it will present development and investment opportunities in the mining and energy sector.

EXPONOR, the International Exhibition of Technologies and Innovations for the Mining and Energy Industry, organized by the Antofagasta Industrial Association, AIA, after a successful 2024 edition involving over 1,100 exhibitors and a record number of visitors, with 47 thousand attendees from 57 countries, is already preparing for its next exhibition and officially announces the four days on which it will take place.

EXPONOR 2026 will be held from June 8 to 11 at the AIA Exhibition and Community Activities Grounds in Antofagasta, the mining capital of the country, which is a world leader in the production of copper and lithium. Four days that entail great opportunities for business between supplier companies and the main mining and energy companies.

It will be the meeting point for the main actors of the industry ecosystem, a favourable scenario for doing business and talking about sustainability to optimise mining operations. We invite suppliers from the entire value chain, from Chile and the world, to schedule the date of EXPONOR 2026. Soon, we will open stand reservations, so they will be able to access all the opportunities offered by the exhibition", stressed Marko Razmilic, AIA President.

Business opportunities

Its complete program includes seminars on the most relevant industry topics; business roundtables between executives of the main mining companies and supplier companies; technical talks on the products and services exhibited by the exhibitors; visits to mining operations in the field and networking sessions, where managers of the mining companies' procurement and contracts areas present their contracting processes and purchasing needs, among other benefits.

It should be remembered that the Antofagasta Region leads mining investment in Chile up to 2033, according to data from COCHILCO, with important mining projects underway and others about to begin, including BHP's large investment of US$ 14 billion to increase copper production, Minera Centinela's Second Concentrator Phase 1, with an estimated investment of US$ 3.32 billion; CODELCO's Chuquicamata Underground Mine, with US$ 4.429 billion and another in the Radomiro Tomic division, with US$ 6.672 billion, and the Minera El Abra Expansion, with a budget of US$ 7.511 billion.

In addition, it is also significant regarding renewable energies, given that it has the first train powered by green hydrogen, the only air control base in the world powered by solar energy and will soon have the Horizonte Wind Farm, which will be the largest on the continent. This positions Chile in first place in Latin America in renewable energy projects, and in 14th place worldwide.
