The international delegation will include 14 companies, which will be located in the Gold Pavilion with proposals focused on High Precision and Technology at the service of the mining and energy sector.
Switzerland returns with the presence of its Secretary of State for the Economy Helene Budliger and the Ambassador to Chile Markus Dutly, and will inaugurate its 96m2pavilion at EXPONOR with 14 companies, forming part of the 16 international pavilions that will participate in this edition.
Constanza Cárdenas, General Manager of the Chilean-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, highlights the collaborative work carried out to make Switzerland's participation possible, "the Chamber and the Swiss Business Hub Chile (SBH) have been working together since 2023 to showcase the best of Switzerland for Chilean industry within the framework of EXPONOR 2024, since in the 2022 edition both organizations collaborated to participate with a technical delegation of Swiss companies, resulting in a highly successful business experience for the entire delegation, so there is no doubt that participation with a pavilion in this 2024 edition will be even more rewarding for all the Swiss companies and representations involved”.
Cárdenas also added that "the alliance with the SBH is key, given that this institution, which is part of the Swiss Embassy, carries out the Framework Program that accompanies the pavilion, which includes technical visits to worksites, networking events and this year, specially, the official visit of the Swiss Secretary of State for the Economy, Helene Budliger, accompanied by a group of over 10 Swiss companies, with the aim of deepening economic relations between the two countries, as well as exploring the advantageous business opportunities offered by Chile”.
Alicia Reyes, EXPONOR Assistant Manager, who is in charge of the international delegations, explains: "the organization of each exhibition is a process that takes time and is nourished by the relationships we establish with the chambers of commerce, embassies and other public and private organizations of the different countries to attract them to the exhibition with interesting proposals for the industry, and the presence of Switzerland at this edition is proof of the success of this effort”.
Technical talks
The main solutions that will be present in the Pavilion are: fluids engineering and application of chemical processes; protection systems against natural risks and in tunnels; robotics and drones for complex spaces; components and solutions for electrical and electronic safety for renewable energy sectors, DC supply networks and other industrial systems; medium to large bearings and technological bearings; cargo and logistics services; digitization and automation systems; traceability and protection of brands and products; consultancy specializing in complex projects; vertical grinding; vertical transport.
The Swiss Pavilion also includes an area for technical talks by the participating companies. "Beyond cheese and chocolate: Unveiling the global success model of Swiss innovation" is one of them, which will present the various solutions offered to the country's mining and energy sectors, to the attending public and special guests.
