The main companies in Chilean mining have already confirmed their presence at EXPONOR 2024, which is added to the interest of foreign companies to be part of the most important technical and on-site exhibition next year, which in its previous version brought together 28 countries, with Germany as the guest country and 730 exhibitors in total.
These are Albemarle, Antofagasta Minerals, CODELCO, Escondida|BHP, Minera El Abra, Sierra Gorda SCM, Spence|BHP and SQM, which will have their stands set up as on-site business centres, where suppliers and visitors can learn about their needs, operational challenges, and projects, and talk with company executives.
EXPONOR, organized by the Antofagasta Industrial Association, AIA, will be held from June 3 to 6, 2024, and offers a complete program of activities, so that the four days provide greater business opportunities to contribute to the growth of the participating companies. It also creates the possibility of interacting with innovations and new technologies that can be implemented in the companies themselves, being face-to-face with the decision-makers.

The Antofagasta Region is known as the driver of the Chilean economy, because in addition to the fact that 54% of the country's mining production comes from it and it concentrates the main national mining companies, this industry also contributes 51.9% to regional GDP, with US$16,011 million budgeted in the mining projects portfolio to 2023. It is a leader in installed electrical capacity, 20% of the energy grid is renewable energy, and it has 29 100% renewable energy generation projects, also comprising a strong vocation regarding energy.
EXPONOR is held every two years in Antofagasta, a mining and energy epicentre. This exhibition brings together the latest advances in the field and stands out as a strategic force for creating and implementing alliances. In the previous edition, the twelve-month business projection was around US$ 850 million.
