EXPONOR 2017 SHOW SUMMARY
Date: May 11th-15th, 2017. Exhibitors: About 1,000 exhibiting companies between national and foreign. Participating countries: 30 countries present: Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, South Korea, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, United States, France, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Ireland , Israel, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey. International pavilions: 12 international pavilions. Guest Country: United States Visitors: 40,000 attendees. As is tradition, Exponor executed a varied program with a high call for mining and industry leaders; specific and transversal public, according to the orientation of the activity: Multiple activities organized by international pavilions for the exchange of knowledge and business generation. Face-to-face meetings: 1,292 meetings with the participation of 98 executives from 16 mining companies: Codelco Chuquicamata Division, Codelco Minister Hales Division, Codelco Gabriela Mistral Division, Corporate Codelco, Albemarle, Escondida, Altonorte, El Abra, Sentinel, Zaldívar, Lomas Bayas, SQM, Yamana Gold, Sierra Gorda, Collahuasi, Spence. Seminars: 950 people participated in the three seminars held during Exponor 2017. "Mining investment projects in Chile", "Technological challenges in the mining industry: business opportunities for supplier companies" and "Women and mining: 50-50 labor participation, a contribution to productivity". Technical talks: 120 technical talks developed by the exhibitors themselves for their potential clients. Talk Cycle: Innovation and development of solar energy in northern Chile, organized by the Antofagasta Energy Development Center, conference on mining optimization dictated by the Finnish delegation. Technical visits: Visit of 12 official delegations of technical visits of mining companies to the exhibition and 38 representations of industrial companies and suppliers. Technological Tour: Seven mining and industrial sites were visited: SQM, Minera Centinela, Codelco Chuquicamata, Albemarle, Codelco Radomiro Tomic, Minera El Abra and the Desalination Plant of the EPM group. Launch Your Innovation: Space created for emerging innovators of the mining industry in which 33 entrepreneurs from 9 regions participated. In this framework, the catalytic Pitch was carried out, an activity that presented 15 initiatives of the platform. Zoom Innovation: 323 innovative technological products and services from exhibiting companies that seek to reduce costs, increase productivity and prevent accidents were published and disseminated to mining companies and visitors. Business Estimates: Within a year, Exponor 2017 estimated transactions of USD $ 800 million for the business generated after its completion.
