The organization's President, Diego Hernández, highlighted the opportunity that the international event held in Antofagasta offers to bring together mining companies and providers and generate new business opportunities. A thousand companies from over 30 countries will turn Antofagasta into the epicenter of global mining next year for Exponor 2019. With the participation of major firms such as Antofagasta Minerals, Codelco, Minera Escondida – Spence – BHP, Albemarle, SQM, Teck - Quebrada Blanca and El Abra Freeport confirmed, the President of the National Mining Society, Diego Hernández, highlighted the importance of the international event for the industry. "There is no doubt that Exponor is the big event in mining in 2019. It is the mining world's chance to exchange experiences and needs among the different actors that make up the mining industry. Successful events in previous years have enabled this international exhibition to position itself as a real space for exchange among mining companies and suppliers, which will have the opportunity to showcase their products and generate contacts to win business with large companies", explained the leader of the mining association representing small, medium and large-scale metallic and non-metallic mining. Hernández, who is also the former Executive President of the state copper producer, Codelco, pointed out that "we are currently in a cycle of recovery of activity and we believe that next year will be better". Along the same lines, he emphasized that "Exponor is key to achieving this goal. Strengthening and developing mining is essential for the development of the country and the international exhibition Exponor will play a key role". Finally, Hernández encouraged key players in the national and international mining industry not to miss out on Exponor 2019. "The entire mining world, both domestic and international, will decamp to Antofagasta, the region where most of the major mining companies in the country are concentrated, bringing this event to life. Both mining companies and suppliers should make the most of this chance to strengthen the industry".
