GROWING INTEREST IN TECHNICAL TALKS AT EXPONOR 2017 AMONG MINING SECTOR SUPPLIERS AND THE PUBLIC

From cross-cutting business issues to technological innovations from around the world, talks on over 100 subjects will be presented by participants in the mining industry event of the year, from May 15th to 19th in Antofagasta, Chile. In order to take full advantage of opportunities to generate new commercial alliances, Exponor 2017, which is organized by the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA), will once again include a series of Technical Talks. The exhibition will have four rooms available to exhibitors, each with space for approximately 30 people. Andrea Moreno, Expo Manager of the show, pointed out that, with the challenges that the industry is facing today, "we will carry out 100 talks, in which participating companies may showcase their products and services. We also want to emphasize that these instances help mining companies and suppliers to obtain feedback on new technological advances and challenges in the industry." To do this, Moreno explains that companies can sign up with a technical visit to the site, allowing them to participate in this program. Some conversations One of the talks already scheduled is from the company Tecnología Industrial S.A., which will present the topic “SMAP, Automatic Monitoring System for Rollers”. Ramiro Troncoso, Mining Manager for the company, explained that the talk will "showcase a product that is the result of a technological solution developed by Tecnología Integral S.A. for predictive and inline management of the state of operation of the rollers on a conveyor belt, in order to reduce the number of rollers replaced due to unforeseen factors, achieving greater availability of the conveyor belt and the material and improve safety." In parallel, the company Tesacom will present a paper entitled "What's New in Satellite Communications for Mining", which will "give participants an up-to-date overview of the latest innovations that TESACOM provides to contribute to success in the mining industry", according to Daniel Malaiu, general manager of Tesacom. According to Malaiu “one of the products that will undoubtedly attract attention is the Iridium Extreme Push To Talk device, the first satellite device to operate as a telephone and a radio, which facilitates individual and group communications among mining company personnel working in the field, everywhere and at all times." Exponor 2017 will take place from May 15th to 19th at the AIA Event Ground, with the United States as guest nation.
