INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY ZOOM STEALS THE SPOTLIGHT AT EXPONOR
With the aim of providing an early insight into game-changing products and services for the mining and industrial market, this exhibition will create a special informational space to share news and showcase exhibitors’ creations. The “Laser System Tool Marker” produced by SCV Solutions S.A., the north American “Marathon” electric boiler from CEM S.A. and L&H Servicios Industriales Chile S.A.’s rotary shovel capable of loading 5000 tonnes per hour are just some of the new products already confirmed for the Exponor 2017 Innovation Zoom feature, a space which allows exhibitors to attract more visitors to their stands and demonstrate their competitiveness. “Mining needs shows like this in order to get to know new technologies, because there is a lot of innovation out there on the part of suppliers, which could help mining companies to lower costs and become more competitive”, the president of the Association of Industrial Mining Suppliers (APRIMIN), Pascual Veiga, pointed out. The above participants in the Innovation and Technology Zoom feature are joined by others such as Canadian Suppliers with CAMESE, “LoaderMetrics” from Motion Metrics, “Ultraseal” from Ultraseal Global Mining S.A., “New Chute Liner Design” from the Peruvian firm Fundición Ferrosa S.A.C., “Synchrotorque” from Philadelphia Gear, a Timken brand, “PULSE: analysis system for all vibrating equipment and components” from Haver & Boecker, “Sprung Structures” from Sprung Structures Ltd. and iRTT™ from Indurad GmbH, among others. For Patricio Lazcano, executive director of the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA)’s Technology Extension Center (CET), a project co-funded by CORFO, “it is fundamental to innovate, because the industry is constantly changing, which is why we talk about the culture of innovation. Human resources, information systems and technological capacity will allow us to face the new challenges arising for companies”, the leader of the CET highlighted. In this way, the highly-demanding needs of the mining sector mean that suppliers must update and renew their products and services, with a focus on providing mining companies with ways to keep costs down and foster productivity and sustainability. “The Innovation and Technology Zoom is an opportunity to increase visibility and a way to boost the number of visits to stands. It is important that, when signing up, companies identify the problem that their product and/or service addresses, as well as the advantages that it offers. The sooner exhibitors sign up, the more promotion they will get out of the feature”, explained Andreo Moreno, Expo Manager of Exponor. Exhibitors interested in participating in the Innovation and Technology Zoom should go to the accreditation system at exponorbase.cl, enter the exhibitor section using their password and fill out the form provided.
