EXPONOR 2019 receives backing from public and private sector at visit to Expomin
The organizing committee of Exponor met with major national and international authorities and key actors in the industry, who gave their backing to the International Exhibition which takes place in Antofagasta. The Exponor 2019 delegation returned to Antofagasta after a successful conclusion to an active week of participation at Expomin 2018in Santiago, where a series of meetings were held with authorities, both national and international, and important companies in the mining industry, all of which highlighted the benefits offered by the International Exhibition held in the Region of Antofagasta. It was a week with a productive agenda which began on the opening day with a meeting between the General Manager of the Industrial Association (AIA), Fernando Cortez, the Expo Manager of Exponor, Andrea Moreno, and theMinister of Mining, BaldoProkurica, who gave his support and congratulations to the organizers of the event, which will take place in 2019. On the same day, the team received a visit from the Chinese Ambassador, XuBu, to discuss the participation of the Asian country as guest nation at the mining event next year. In this sense, Fernando Cortez stated that "we have come back from the meetings that we held at Expomin with a positive sensation. We have the full backing of relevant actors in the industryfor Exponor 2019, as well as the authorities, which underlines the importance of our exhibition and the broad commitment to investment, innovation and competitiveness". Over the following days of the show, important meetings were held with the embassies of Finland, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Spain, Israel and the United States, as well as commercial representatives of countries such as Canada, China, Germany and South Africa, to strengthen business links and plan participation in Exponor 2019. Additionally, visits were made to national clients and the delegation participated in the Enexpro Business Meetings, organized by ProChile. In this respect, Andrea Moreno explained that "we had a tremendously productive week and did everything that was on the agenda.We met with ambassadors, trade officials and commercial representatives for pavilions at Exponor to discuss interesting proposals that go beyond a presence at the exhibition. This is a long-term task for suppliers, both local and international. We noticed a must more positive outlook throughout the industry, unlike that of a few years ago, so we are very happy as we look towards our show next year".
